Trip to Philadelphia (part 2 of 3)
The second portion of the trip was to PowerDesign.com. They are a small business that specializes in designing websites, CD-ROM’s, and other web-related aspects (including E-Blasts – e-mail marketing for a company in that they design the ads).
The small team of designers there have designed sites for clients such as…
…Comedy Central, Glaxo Smith Kline, Miramax, CN8 (Comcast), and are currently in the process of designing a new website for Farmer’s Almanac, which will apparently have a new show coming up on PBS in the next few months or so.
Their little studio apartment in Wayne, PA was pretty cool, too. Most of the computers were Apple G4′s and Apple G5′s with Cinema Displays. Of course a few Windows-based machines were around for testing the design on different browsers. The people there were very friendly and showed off a lot of their work. In the end, we all left with a pint glass that had the Power Design logo on it as a “thank you” for being the first tour they’ve ever hosted in their few years existance.
Then, we all went out to eat before the next stop, PixelWorthy.
