The Terminal
Out of boredom today, I decided to watch The Terminal starring Tom Hanks, Catherine-Zeta Jones, and Chi McBride among others. The Terminal supposedly received good reviews at 3.3/5 stars on average. I’ve have to agree with that, though I might have bumped it up to four stars.
The overall plot of the movie is this Russian guy who has come to the United States, played by Tom Hanks. He basically lives in the airport terminal in hopes of one day crossing into New York City to fulfill a dream of his, which I won’t disclose since it kind of relates to the middle/end of the movie. That’s the very broad overview of the movie but I’d definitely recommend it as Tom Hanks plays a very believable Russian with a thick accent and broken English. It was rather impressive, if you ask me. It’s kind of wrapped up in a love story, but doesn’t rely on that too heavily like most movies, which is why the movie is unique. Plus, it’s also intriguing the way Hanks learns English while at the airport. Go check it out – I saw it On Demand on Comcast, so maybe it’s there for you as well!
