24 Fan Phone and Another Real Phone Number

For the last few days, I’ve been watching “24″ on DVD. Best Buy has a sale in-store and online (not announced in store but I can confirm it since I went there today) where each season of the show is on sale for $20.00. This is in contrast to the $40-$60 each season typically costs. It’s a great deal!

Anyway, tonight I started with Season One. I saw a number listed and decided to call it. The number is listed in Season One, Disc One, Episode 3:00AM-4:00AM and is when Teri’s cell phone shows a missed call from Jack (21:51 DVD clock). The number is as follows, and isn’t documented anywhere else on the web except for one site, which is all in Spanish and rather surprising: 818-585-6930 (at least I am 95% sure that’s the number - I zoomed in on the screen and cleared it up and I cannot make out the first number but it looks strikingly similar to an ‘8′).  I submitted this tonight to IMDB as a “goof” (has not appeared yet and will take awhile to appear due to moderation and the holidays); whether or not it is depends on whom you ask but I still find it interesting.
That being said, when you call you will get a live person and she’s not related to FOX or “24″ in any way. I wonder if she knows and it must be a pain to get calls all of the time!

For those that don’t know, the 24 Fan Phone first appears in Season Four, episode five and is as follows: 310-597-3781. If you call, you will get a voicemail message telling you the Nextel “24 Phone” mailbox is full and to try again later. The number is still active as of last night, December 27, 2006.
