Donations are greatly appreciated for ThisWeekOnXM. As a college student trying to make it through college majoring in Computer Science, it's always a pleasure getting a few dollars here and there for personal use and the time I take out of my busy schedule and free time to develop this application. Any amount can be entered via PayPal and any amount is always appreciated. Thank you.
It may take a few seconds to connect to and transact within the PayPal website. Please be patient!

ThisWeekOnXM is an application that allows subscribers of XM Satellite Radio to download the latest programming events and see what programs are coming up throughout the week. The data is taken from XM Satellite Radio's programming page and XM411.com's schedule pages. It is then displayed in an easy-to-use application, eliminating the need to open your web browser and find the URL's for those websites. It's great for quick access! To use the application, first download the latest version from VersionTracker.com. When it installs, you have the option of saving it in the default directory (/Macintosh HD/Applications) or choosing a custom directory. Once the application has been installed, double-click it.

When the application loads, you'll see a Flash animation of what XM Radio is promoting this week. Clicking on "Today" will show just today's programming events that XM has chosen to promote and advertise. Clicking on "Week" will show the week's programs that are often the same programs mentioned in XM Radio's weekly e-mail, The XM Signal. Clicking on "Guide" will load XM Radio's PDF Channel Guide of all of the channels on XM Radio. Clicking on the button next to "Guide" titled "Search" will allow you to search for a song or artist that was played on XM Radio with certain parameters. The results will show when that artist/song was last played. This service is provided by XM Monitor and due to the Terms of Service (TOS) and End User License Agreement (EULA) cannot provide more information other than when the last time that search query was played. It also cannot provide playlists as this is against XM Satellite Radio's TOS and EULA you read when you subscribed up to the service.
When you click on the days of the week buttons, it will display the latest programs and times that XM411.com has for all channels in order of the hour. Below the days of the week buttons is a drop down menu that lists all of the genres on XM Satellite Radio. Select a genre and it will show you the programs on XM Radio for that week for that specific genre.
Updating the application is simple. To update ThisWeekOnXM to the latest version, click "ThisWeekOnXM" in the menu bar and select "Check For Updates." If there is an update available, it will redirect you to the download site which will show the latest revision changes (which are also included in this Help file), etc. If no updates are available, a dialog will appear notifying you that you are using the latest version available.

ThisWeekOnXM supports XM Radio Online as of version 2.0. This feature REQUIRES that you use Windows Media Player for Mac OS X. Flip4Mac (version 2.01 or lower) is NOT supported! This is a limitation of Flip4Mac. Check with them for updates to their product. Additionally, if you have Flip4Mac WMV Player installed, be sure that you UNCHECK the checkbox (System Preferences > Flip4Mac WMV > Plugin) "Use Flip4Mac Internet Plug-In". If it is disabled, you will need to reinstall Flip4Mac. When prompted at the installer, click Customize and turn off the web support for the application. This is a limitation of version 2.01 of Flip4Mac and may be corrected in future updates. Check with the developer and the Flip4Mac forums for more information.
Update: Flip4Mac 2.0.2 is now supported for streaming XM Radio Online. Download it here.
While using XM Radio Online through ThisWeekOnXM, you cannot minimize the window in which XM Radio Online is loaded. This is similar to playing XM Radio Online through Safari and is a limitation of their service and/or WebKit, which this application uses. It's beyond my control. That being said, you may still hide the application and it will still play the music just fine. Also, clicking a button in the XM Radio Online interface (ex: "Today", "Search", etc) will navigate you away from XM Radio Online. If you want to use one of these buttons, you must open a new window via the File menu. This will prevent interruption of the XM service.
ThisWeekOnXM will make a connection to the developer's homepage only when you click "Check For Updates", "Guide" or use the help menu. At no other time will it make a connection "home." Your data for XM Radio Online and all other services is ONLY sent to XM Satellite Radio and is NEVER disclosed to or known to other parties.
Cookies are a necessary part of this application working. XM Satellite Radio requires cookies to be set in order to log into XM Radio Online. Each time you close ThisWeekOnXM, the cookie will be deleted and/or no longer active, thus the need to log into XM Radio Online each time the application is launched. It's more secure that way, anyway.
This service is provided by Unsanity Software. If you have Smart Crash Reporter installed on your computer and ThisWeekOnXM crashes, you will be given the option to send the crash report to Apple and to the developer. This will help in diagnosing crashes and fixes for future updates. It's not a requirement that Smart Crash Reporter be installed, though. It is NOT bundled with this application because I respect your privacy.
Until Macromedia releases a full-blown Flash plugin for Safari and WebKit, ThisWeekOnXM should be run under Rosetta. I apologize for not explicitly stating this in the release notes, but it was brought to my attention by a user who e-mailed me (Thanks Jeffrey M!)
